Publish his glorious deeds among the nations. Tell everyone about the amazing things he does. Great is the Lord! He is most worthy of praise! Psalm 96:3,4(a)
I was born in Philadelphia and have lived in Pennsylvania all of my life. I live in a small town northwest of the city with my husband of five years and our ball-crazy German shepherd dog. I was blessed to be born into a family with a strong Christian heritage, from both parents. My dad loved the Lord and did his best to pass his Christian values on to his children. I always believed in God and that His son Jesus died on the cross for our sins and was raised on the third day. However, I foolishly spent most of my life running from God, keeping Him in the background and only calling on Him when I needed Him. Finally, last year, I discovered the power of prayer. I started going to church in February of this year. During the evening service on Good Friday, God and I finally hooked-up. This passage says it so well for me: Psalm 32:5, NLT “Finally, I confessed all my sins to you and stopped trying to hide my guilt. I said to myself, ‘I will confess my rebellion to the LORD.’ And you forgave me! All my guilt is gone.” A few weeks later, on 13 April 2008, I was baptized. I am no longer running from God, instead, I am running to God.
